“The difference between those who fail and those who succeed is where they stop”

Our Approach: New Skills for New Times
A globally competitive economy, peer pressures, soaring college costs, unmotivated, unhappy teens, and shrinking job markets are just some of the new challenges that families face. Parents are concerned; many are stressed; and justifiably so. As the world rapidly changes, so do the demands placed on healthy functioning family units. Today’s families require new skills and new approaches to meet today’s challenges.
Improving parental effectiveness, while certainly important, is simply not enough. If children are going to beat the odds and live inspired, powerful lives that make a real difference, they will need to work collaboratively with their parent or parents (and with each other) to meet the challenges life will throw at them. Both parents and children must be willing to explore new patterns of behavior and integrate them into their daily lives if they are to succeed in today’s world.
While our primary emphasis is helping parents learn how to become exceptional parents, we also understand the importance of serving the whole family unit. Through one-on-one counseling, group discussions and classes, and family activities that are meant to be both fun and educational, parents have opportunities to develop their self-control, internal fortitude, and resilience, increase their self-worth, build their parenting skills, and become confident parents. At the same time, we work with their children to develop many of the same critical capacities, as well offer them academic training/support and recreational/cultural opportunities.
